| Outsourcing has become
especially popular throughout the freight and chain supply industry. Many
business owners choose to ‘out task’ their freight, not only to save on
cost and minimize mistakes but to free up employees to focus on what they
do best. Properly defined outsourcing is the transferring of a business function to an outside provider. In the freight industry the term is ‘3PL’ or third party logistics provider. Outsourcing requires a close working relationship with the decision makers and a high degree of trust. |
